WILLIAM L. BROWN, SR.
William L. Brown, Sr., 74, of Polk City, FL and formerly of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home in Florida. He was born in Toledo on August 7, 1939 to Lawrence A. and Mary I. (Byers) Brown and was a 1958 graduate of Clay High School. For over 29 years, William worked in the factory at DeVilbiss then in maintenance for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and prior to retirement, for the Ohio Turnpike at Exit 5 toll booth. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
William is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Brown; son, William L. (Stacy) Brown, Jr.; daughters, Jacqueline (Joseph) Poulson and Brenda (David) Vincent; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Fred (Marilyn) Brown and sister, Dianna (Bud) Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Brown.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon on Sunday, December 8, 2013, from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery .
