Joseph P. King, 62, of Point Place, Ohio, passed away at his home. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on January 9, 1953 to Joseph A. and Theresa (Vaido) King and was a 1971 graduate of Clay High School. Joe had a remarkable work ethic and for many years he was a self-employed truck driver. He previously owned and operated the Java Mill and Tea Company in Point Place along with installation businesses of fireplaces and swimming pools.
Joe is survived by his three children, Chas McGee, Amanda and Allyson King; grandchildren, Aiden Campbell and Leysea McGee; siblings, Sandi (Terry) Amstutz, Albert (Lisa) King, Irene (Chuck) Kulwicki, Doreen (Tom) Hockenberry, John King and Mike (Karen) King along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shirley Collier and Theresa King.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Freck Funeral Chapel from 12 – 4:30 p.m. where services will begin at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
