Anne Louise Smith

Anne Louise Smith, age 62, of Oregon, OH, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022. She was born in Toledo, OH to Charles and Louise (Racinowski) Hoffmann. She was a 1977 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and later married Raymond Smith and together they raised their family. Anne taught in Toledo Public Schools for 30 years, retiring in 2015. She was a loving and devoted mother and a dear friend who will be greatly missed.

Anne leaves behind her daughter, Amber Smith; her siblings, Greg Hoffmann, and Chuck (Lisa) Hoffmann; her nieces and nephews; her loving friends and neighbors, Mary Lou and Mark Nadaud, and Lynette and Kim Powell; and her loving friends, Sue Rowe, Sue Kovacs, Heidi Sanchez, and Shannon Barney; and her special support from, Mary Sue and Ron Hamlet, Barb Griffith, Aden Vriezelaar and his family, and Vonda Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her parents, Charles and Louise Hoffmann, her brother, Jimmy Hoffmann, and her sister-in-law, Nancy Hoffmann.

Family and friends may visit the  Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, OH, on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Church, St. Ignatius Catholic Church or Coy Elementary Parents Group.
