Zoltan V. Gyebnar, 63, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 12, 1951 in Szarvas, Hungary to Vendel and Ilona (Duda) Gyebnar and for almost 30 years, worked on the assembly line at the Jeep plant in Toledo. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating and gardening and was looking forward to his retirement next month on his birthday.
He is survived by his former wife, Sally Gyebnar; sister-in-law, Gizella Gyebnar and nephews, Peter and Gabor Gyebnar. Zoltan was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Attila Gyebnar.
There will be no visitation and private inurnment will take place in Hungary in the fall. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brian Burkey and Dr. Sudish Murthy and the entire staff from the Cleveland Clinic and a special thank you to Lori and Zoltan’s friends at Jeep. Arrangements were entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
