Wilma J. Monday

After 16 years apart, Wilma J Monday, 83 of Oregon Ohio finally had her wish of being reunited with her beloved husband Dale granted on June 13 , 2021.
Wilma was born on December 16, 1937 to Robert and Ada (Shipp) Matney in Manitou, Kentucky. Growing up she helped on her family farm and enjoyed singing on the radio with her sister, friend and pastor.

On October 13, 1955 she married the love of her life, Dale Monday. Together they built a beautiful family. They enjoyed camping, square dancing, playing cards with their friends and spending time with their children, grandchildren and extended families.

Wilma loved the Lord with her whole heart. The last few years as her health declined, her love for him never wavered. She showed those around her the meaning of strength, courage and grace.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Larry (Marie) Monday, Steve (Renee) Monday, Susan Kralik and Rob Monday along with her grandchildren Kenny (Alicia) Monday, Rachel (Ken) Abbey, Kristy (Bill) Kerr, Lindsay (Mike) Kirsch, Kerri (Chris) Szyskowski, LeeAnne (Tommy) Crawford, Krista Kralik, Josh (Katie) Miner, Noelle (John) Dawley, Jacob (Emily) Miley, Kelsey (Dan) Miller, Greg Cope, 21 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, sisters Dorothy Trost and Mary Dauer, brothers Dick Matney and Bobby Gene Matney and grandchildren Roy Miner and Ashley Cope and great-grandson Brendan Cope.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 10-12:00 p.m. where services will follow at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, Wilma wished for those she loved to support Hospice of NW Ohio.
