William Wilson, 83, of Northwood, OH passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Toledo Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1928 in Nashville, TN to Benjamin and Willie Wilson. Bill served in the U.S. Navy, during WWII. Bill (Captain Wilson) served as security for LOF, later Pilkington for 56 years. He was active at Mainstreet Church.
He is survived by his children; Peter (Deb) Wilson, Pamela (Lewis) Shaffer, Janis Wood and Jay (Karen) Wilson, 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sister, Marion Graham; brother, Johnny Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 58 years, Frances, and brothers, Walter Chester Wilson and Jimmy Jordan. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and his Cracker Barrel family.
Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel Wynn at Pickle Rd. (419) 693-9304, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
