William E. Perry, 87, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Perrysburg Center. He was born on February 20, 1927 in Toledo to Ernest and Irene Perry. Bill served in the U.S. Army, during W.W.II and was a member of the American Legion Post# 888. He was employed as a machinist at Devilbiss & Drigg’s Dairy for 17 years and then in the maintenance department at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital for 15 years. Bill enjoyed fishing and tinkering with projects. He was known to fix just about anything.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Lois; children: David (Elaine) Perry, Michael (Jackie) Perry and Sandra (Lyle) Schroeder; stepchildren: Vickie (Fred Griner) Wygant, Debra (Randy) Mottmitter, Karen (Denny) Christy, Susan (John Thill) Bullock and Sandra (Jim) Aldridge; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Rudy (Carol) Perry and sister-in-law, Joy Perry. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Alice Perry, parents and brothers, Ted, Bob, Harold and Dick.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2 - 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 10 a.m. where family will greet guest after 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
