William "Bill" Mansfield Tarr Jr.

June 12, 1955 — April 13, 2025

William Mansfield Tarr Jr., “Bill”, age 69 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Addison Heights Rehabilitation Center. Bill was born to William and Mary (Bodi) Tarr Sr. on June 12, 1955. He was a 1973 graduate of Clay High School and received his associate's degree from Terra Community College. Bill worked for Plabill Rubber for 25 years, retiring in 1999. He went on to work another 22 years for Buckeye Metro Fiber and Cable. Bill was active with the Teamsters. He was a Believer and Faith was central to his life. Bill was a member or past member of Hope Lutheran Church, That Neighborhood Church, Grace Methodist Church- Bible study, and Nova Faith Christian Fellowship. Bill volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in El Salvador and was often active in service work in Toledo's North End. He loved cooking, estate sales, and his dogs; Bill always had a dog. He also enjoyed UT Rockets Basketball and Football and had season passes to both. Above all else, he loved his family. He will be dearly missed.

Bill is survived by his mother Mary Tarr; siblings Linda Tarr, Diane (Joe Lewarski) Roberts, Janet (Matthew) Wilbarger; nieces and nephews Rachel Roberts, Erin Roberts, Nick Lewarski, Meghan Tarr, Derick Malkemus and Godson Isaiah Oliphant. He was preceded in death by his father William Tarr Sr., and sister Carol Taylor.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon, Ohio on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1 until 3 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the William Tarr Jr. Trust for Isaiah Oliphant. Although Bill never had children of his own, he always thought of Isaiah as a son.
