William “Bill” Fredrickson passed away at home on April 10, 2025. Bill was born on April 24, 1951 to William and Esther (Heintschel) Fredrickson in Curtice, Ohio. He would go on meet the love of his life, Deb Bodi, and they would spend 17 years as life partners.
Bill worked in maintenance for Oregon City Schools for 15 years before retiring. He was incredibly passionate about tractors, preferring Allis-Chalmers made models. He was a member of S.C.R.A.P and participated in tractor pulls put on by the organization. Over the years, he collected many trophies, plaques, and ribbons from the various competitions he won. In addition to his love of tractors, Bill enjoyed classic cars, often going to car shows. He loved working outdoors and for years, worked on different machinery and cars in his free time. Bill was also an avid western fan and found joy in watching classic TV shows.
Bill is survived by his life partner, Deb Bodi; siblings Sandra Henderson, Randy (Dianna) Hornstein, Greg (Sue) Hornstein, Ann (Randy Bumbera) Hornstein, and Marcia (John Belkofer) Hornstein; grandchildren Gemma Adams, Owen Muller, and Ava Goon; nieces and nephews David, Maria, Shayne, Katie, Heather, Randee Rae, Ryan, Casidy, Ryleah, Alana, Addison, Lela, Rhett, Aria, Caden, Ryker, one more niece on the way, DJ, Wesley, Dana, Sonny, Crystal, Kimberly, Nicole, Justin, and Robin. Also surviving are the extended family of Bodi and St. John. Preceding Bill in death are his father, parents Esther and Ted Hornstein, and sister Brenda. A special thank you and acknowledgment to Autumn, Bill’s honorary daughter, is given for the care and love she showed Bill towards the end of his life.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. where a memorial service will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Bill’s memory can be made to S.C.R.A.P.
