Whitney Marie Sprouse, 29, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, peacefully in her home with her family by her side. Whitney was born May 23, 1987 in Columbus, Ohio.
Whitney found strength in her family and rejoiced in the comfort and healing power of music. She was inspired by the soothing words of Bob Dylan, and could sing along with almost any George Jones song.
Whitney lived her life joyfully. She fought hate with love, evil with good, and she won. Whitney showed kindness to everyone she encountered. Her gratitude for life and her resiliency was unmatched and admired by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her.
Whitney is survived by her loving parents, Thomas and Joan Sprouse; sister Faith (Patrick) Kelleher; Joshua Sprouse, and Jane Sprouse. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tommey; grandma, Jane; uncle, Ed; best friend and cousin, Sean; cousins, Sonya, Evan, and Josh; and foster sisters/cousins, Becky and Teara.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where family will greet guests after 9 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Ignatius Church.
