Wayne N. Vincent

Wayne N. Vincent, age 88, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024.  He was born on January 28, 1936 in Oregon, Ohio to Patrick and Bernice Vincent.  Wayne attended Clay High School before joining the work force.  He married his wife, Vera Orth on October 29, 1955.  Wayne worked at various places over the years including the Toledo Shipyard, Tank’s Motor Sales, and some commercial truck driving.  Wayne finished his career with the City of Oregon in the maintenance department, retiring in 1998.  He enjoyed camping, gardening, and listening to blue grass music.  He attended many blue grass festivals with his dog.

Wayne is survived by his children, Laura (Jim) Davis, and Tim (Gayle) Vincent; grandchildren, Tiffany (Eric) Rayburn, Timothy (Amber) Vincent Jr, Amy (Ron) Cochran, Andy Vargyas III, and Bradley Vargyas; great-grandchildren, Christopher Conley Jr, Lexus Rayburn, Shane Vincent, Spencer Slomka, Annabelle Schumm, Chloe Vincent, Marissa Rayburn, Lincoln Vargyas, Dylan Vargyas, Audrey Vargyas, and Jameson Cochran.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vera Vincent; brothers, Robert and Paul Vincent; and his sister, Betty Ball.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 3-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions can be made to Lucas County Canine Care & Control.
