Walter C. Spitler, Jr. 74, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his home. He was born in Toledo on November 6, 1938 to Walter C. and Elsie M. (Jahns) Spitler, Sr. For over 20 years, he worked as a carpet installer for Supreme Carpet in Bay City, MI.
He is survived by his nephews, James (Deanna) Beard, Jerry (Kim) Ward, Larry (Dawn) Irwin, Jr. and Terry Irwin and loving members of the Jahns family. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Eleanor Irwin and Nora Beard.
Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Northgate Apartments.
