Walter Leroy Forbes, Jr.

Walter Leroy Forbes, Jr., age 64, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at home after a battle with cancer on Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was born in Toledo, OH to Walter Sr. and Francine (Spadafore) Forbes on January 5, 1959. Wally worked as a forklift operator for Jeep for 38 years until his retirement. He had a love for camping, scrapping, model cars, and fishing, but most of all he loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Wally is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his children, Carrie (Ben) Vargas, Stacie (Harvey) Church, Nicole Rader, and Brian (Kayleen Cole) Critch; his grandchildren, Edward Silva Jr., Cody (Samantha) Silva, Phoebe Church, Luke (Lydia) Silva, Kaylee (Hudson Wolfe) Church, and Shianne Cole; his great-grandchildren, Scarlett, and Grayson Silva; and his siblings, Darold Forbes, and Joe Boyd; and many nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Sr. and Francine Forbes; and his siblings, Jeff Forbes, John Boyd, and Hermina Campbell Forbes.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with the funeral service held at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Cleveland, OH.
