WALLACE A. (ROBERTSON) MINNEAR
Wallace A. Minnear, 73, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. She was born in Lynchburg, VA on July 5, 1942 to Wallace E. and Cora Virginia (Logan) Robertson and was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Roanoke, VA. She began her career with Haughton Schindler Elevators and then with Faurecia in Human Resources up until 2001 when she needed to go on disability due to her declining health. She adored spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Danielle Minnear and Denise (Michael) Derby; grandchildren, Taylor Empey, Sydney Derby, Jacob Empey, Michael Derby II, Ashley Kuhr, Britney Shafer and Pablo Flores, two great-grandchildren; siblings, Jo Toney and Leon Robertson and her best friend and former husband, Norval “Nick” Minnear. Wallie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Fay Anne Brannon.
A Memorial Service will be held in the meeting room at the Sleep Inn 1761 Meijer’s Circle in Oregon, on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 5-9 p.m.
