Virginia Lee Withrow
Virginia Lee Withrow, 76, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at her home. She was born in Streator, Illinois on September 29, 1938 to Glen and Ruth (Ingram) Darm. Virginia worked as an X-ray tech and more recently as secretary for a plumbing company. Most importantly she was a wonderful and supportive mother of seven children, nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Virginia was an extraordinary woman who put her family first. “An over giver in this life amounts to a beautiful new life in the next one.” She will be dearly missed.
Virginia is survived by her children, Lucinda Withrow, Cheryl (Cassius) Whitcher, Karl (Katherine) Withrow, Eugenia (Harold) Schadewald, Leslie (Catherine) Withrow, Jody (Timothy) Miller and William Withrow; grandchildren, Savanna (Ben), Megan (Andrew), Cassandra, Dustin, Olivia, Hannah, Kirstyn, Harrison, Eric, Amanda, Alison, Ian, Aiden, Cory, Tyler, Sophia, Scarlett, Elyse and Anna; great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Efraim and husband, Eugene Withrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ruth; siblings, Melvin, Judy, Robert and Karen.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church, 1245 W. Maple Ave, Adrian, MI 49221. Arrangements are being handled by the Freck Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
