Virginia Marie (Dompier) Hart

December 19, 1941 — May 3, 2018

Virginia Marie Hart “Ginger” age 76, of Curtice, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Ginger was born to Wesley and Anna (Tscherne) Dompier on December 19, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio. Ginger graduated from Clay High School and went on to earn her BSN. Ginger marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in Washington D.C. as a member of TCCY at St. Ignatius. She worked for Riverside and UTMC as a charge nurse and also worked at St. Charles, Life Flight, Bay Park and as a CPR Instructor. Ginger “retired” this past March. Ginger loved babies especially her own and enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball and being a den mother when her own children were young and later enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church Bono, Ohio and served as the historian for Delta Kappa Gamma Gamma Beta Chapter. Ginger also enjoyed playing cards with her card club.

Ginger is survived by her sons, Todd, James (Annette Scott), and John (Teresa); grandchildren, Tiffany, Brittani, Mallory, Carlee, Catelyn; great-granddaughter, Tessa; sisters, Nancy Fisher and Denise (Rick) Frazier; sister-in-law, Faith Schuldt-Timiney and brother-in-law, David (Linda) Hart; former daughter-in-law, Tina (Hart) Walsh. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald in 2013; sisters, Carolyn Loucks and Lou Ann Dompier.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 2 - 8 p.m. where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church Bono, Ohio.
