Virgil O. Wurster

Virgil O. Wurster, 82, of Curtice, OH passed away on November 21, 2017. He was born on April 4, 1935 in Wilton, WI to Arnold and Maybelle (Winchel) Wurster. Virgil worked as a truck driver and warehouse worker for Food Town where he retired from. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and building model air planes. He played bass guitar in several country music bands. Virgil was a talented painter making cherished works of lighthouses and Tall Ships. He was a Pittsburg Steelers and Michigan University football fan. Virgil was a Hopewell Little League football coach. He had a fondness for building and driving classic cars, particularly his 57 Chevy and 36 Pontiac Business Coupe.

Virgil is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn; children, Virgil “Whitey” Wurster Jr., Vicky Robinson, Kim (Tom) Malhoit and Kevin (Kim) Wurster; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and siblings, Vera, Shelba, Juanita and Bonnie. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Dixie, Bob, Sunny, Vivian, Verna, Jerry Chuck, Fern and daughter-in-law, Vickie Wurster.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. His Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Jerusalem Township Fire Department.
