Violet M. Taylor, 77, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at The Toledo Hospital. She was born in Toledo on November 14, 1938 to Joseph and Violet (Palenske) Teal and was a 1956 graduate of Clay High School. Violet worked as an LPN for various hospitals in Toledo retiring in 2010 from the Lutheran Home after 25 years of service. She was a faithful member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church where she was active in the women’s ministry. In her younger years, Violet played football for the first Toledo powder puff football league. She treasured the times spent with family camping and fishing. Violet was an avid shopper, enjoyed bowling and loved OSU football.
She is survived by her children, Cathy (Bruce) Fuleky, Joseph Soncrant and Debbie (Don) Branstutter; grandchildren, Angela (Josh) Gillis, Amy Jo Fuleky, Samantha Arquette and Nicole Branstutter; five great-grandchildren and siblings, Doris (Wilford) Moore, Lois Farr and Linda (Gordan) Nimbowski. Violet was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bonnie Dickens.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church with the family to receive guests one hour prior. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made directly to Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 601 Nevada St., Toledo, Ohio 43605.
