Vincent A. Mezinko, 90, of Oregon, OH., passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center.  He was born to Stephen and Anna (Vytykac) Mezinko on July 3, 1925 in Robbins, Ohio.  Vincent served in the Fleet Hospital 106-107 in Okinawa for the U.S. Navy, during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0888 and the Buddy Frankowski V.F.W. Post #5530.

Following the war, Vincent worked as an office clerk for Willys Overland/Willys Motor/Kaiser Jeep/ Jeep and American Motors retiring in 1986 after 42 ½ years.  In his spare time, Vincent enjoyed baking and dog grooming.  He will be dearly missed.

Vincent is survived by his brother, George (Nancy) Mezinko; nieces, Joanne Kusz, Rosemary Kusz, Mary (Robert) Daney, Judy (Don) Zbierajewski, Barbara Napierala, Therese Napierala and Julie Napierala; nephews, Joseph (Barbara) Napierala and Vincent S. Mezinko, George (Vicki) Mezinko, Jr. and Robert (Barbara) Mezinko.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Anna; long time friend, Jerry E. Dalton; brothers, Stephen, Joseph and John;  his sisters, Mary Kusz and Emily Napierala and nephews, John Mezinko, Jr. and Steven Mezinko.

Family and friends may visit Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 11-12:30 p.m. where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Rosary Cathedral or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
