Trinidad (Galan-Saenz) Rivera

Trinidad (Galan-Saenz) Rivera, age 79, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 2, 1945, in Harlingen, Texas, to the late Jesus Saenz and Clemencia Galan.

Trinidad graduated from Gibsonburg High School before furthering her education at the University of Toledo, where she earned an associate's degree in Social Work. She began her career working for the Lucas County Board of Education, a role that showcased her caring nature and dedication to serving others. However, the true pride of Trinidad's life came when she became a mom, choosing to become a homemaker to nurture and support her family.

In addition to her commitment at home, Trinidad devoted many years to working at Libbey Glass. She balanced her professional endeavors with her passion for family, always prioritizing the things that mattered most to her. Her Catholic faith was also very important to her, and this spirituality is what guided her through life.

Trinidad was known for her loving and caring personality. She was a homebody at heart, finding joy in the comforts of home life. In her leisure time, she enjoyed visiting the casino, playing card games and word puzzles.

As we remember Trinidad, let us carry forward her spirit of kindness and love, cherishing the memories she created.

Those left to forever cherish her memory is the love of her life, Miguel Rivera; daughter, Maria Rivera; son, Mike Rivera; grandchildren, Diamond, Christina, Jesus, Juan Jose Jr., Nieve, Esequiel Rivera, and Romelio Montoya; and sister, Maria Yolanda Silva.

In addition to her parents, Trinidad was preceded in death by her son, Juan “Jose” Rivera; brother, Salvadore Lopez; and sister, Hilda Hurtado.

Family and friends may gather at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral beginning 1:00 pm. Following the service, Trinidad will be laid to rest at Restlawn Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio.
