Trevor Michael Walsh

Trevor Michael Walsh, age 46, of Oregon, OH, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. An honor walk commemorating his decision to give the gift of life took place at the hospital on December 24, 2022.  He was born February 20, 1976 in Cleveland, OH to Terance and Linda (Share) Walsh. As a 1994 graduate of Bay Village High School, Trevor broke some school records for football and led the football team to the State playoffs in 1993. He graduated from Ohio University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Biology. In 2006, Trevor went on to earn a Masters of Education specializing in Curriculum and Instructional Design from Bowling Green State University. Trevor was employed as an educator within various informal learning centers, such as COSI, Toledo Zoo, and Toledo Metroparks. Non-formal education and conducting field research in herpetology were enjoyed by him. Trevor married the love of his life, Tina Markley, on November 25, 2006. He was a loving father who raised five children with his wife. The proudest moments of Trevor’s life were coaching his children in basketball, softball, football and attending every game with his wife. He could always be heard cheering on his children and their teammates. Trevor could be found helping his daughters on projects at their homes, playing football with his son, and being the all-time QB for the neighborhood kids. Trevor enjoyed telling endless stories about his shared experiences with his daughter and son-in-law such as attending BGSU and moving to Charlotte, NC.  His love of music was shared with his granddaughter Tessa Hart, as they enjoyed listening to old records together. Being with his dear friends whenever possible was so important to Trevor. Much laughter, companionship, and memories prevailed as they enjoyed telling stories, camping and hiking, visiting Cedar Point, playing the original Nintendo Entertainment System, making movies and videos, and attending numerous concerts, especially for his favorite band Anthrax. Trevor enjoyed catching up with friends and watching the Cleveland Indians, Michigan Wolverines, Denver Broncos, and Cleveland Browns. All that knew and loved Trevor will greatly miss him. Trevor was a friend to everyone and his greatest treasure was that he loved his family and dogs beyond measure.

Trevor leaves behind his loving wife, Tina; his children, Tiffany, Brittani, Mallory (Steven), Taytum, and Treven; his granddaughter, Tessa; his sisters, Tricia, and Jill; and his parents, Terance and Linda, and many aunts and uncles, and too many best friends to list.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, January, 14, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a time of sharing memories to be held at 1:30 p.m.
