Thomas “Tom” Socie

Thomas F. Socie, age 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center.  He was born on November 5, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to Clement and Helen Socie.  Tom was a 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School and served in the United States Marines.  He retired from Toledo Edison after 30 years of service as an electrician.  Tom enjoyed boating and fishing in his free time.  He was a member of the Pacesetters and attended many car shows.  He will be dearly missed.

Tom is survived by his children, Lorri (Guy) Hall and Jeffery (Jennifer) Socie; grandchildren, Brett (Brittany) Socie and Katie (Joseph) Baker; great-grandchildren, Ella and Aria Baker; siblings, Robert (Sue) Socie, Renee Snider, and David (Colleen) Socie.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn, and brother-in-law, Robert Snider.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 2-8:00 p.m.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where family will greet guests after 9:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
