Thomas “Rich” Pelton, 73, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his home. He was born in Pontiac, MI on January 9, 1942 to Thomas E. and Mary Naomi (Grant) Pelton and attended Clay High School. He began his lifelong career with Local 18 International Union of Operating Engineers; working all over the country on various projects and retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary M. (Repass) Pelton; children, Sandra L. (Gary) Griffin, Edward L. Pelton, Alan T. Pelton; grandchildren, Christy (Rick) Hinz, Courtney Pompos and Alan Pelton, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Madison, Chloe and Bella Hinz; and siblings, Barbara Quintana and Ronald (Beverly) Pelton. Rich was preceded in death by his parents and son, Lonnie R. Pelton.
In honoring his wishes there will be no visitation or services. His ashes will be scattered in Lake Erie; where in his younger years, he enjoyed fishing with his dad. Arrangements were entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
