Thomas J. Foster, 76, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on his birthday, January 14, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born on January 14, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio. Thomas was a graduate of Waite High School. He retired from Sylvania Schools where he worked as manager of operations for over 22 years. In his younger years, he worked as a supervisor at L.O.F. for 22 years. Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In his spare time, he enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, golfing and driving to car shows in his classic car. He will be dearly missed.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marsha Foster; children, Thomas Foster, Jeffrey (Kelli) Foster and Shelly (Jeff) Nissen; grandchildren, Ronnie, Josh, Alec, Ethan, Skylar and Delaney; sisters, Nancy Lewis and Carol Martin; brother, Daniel (Anne) Foster and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Garnette Foster.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
