Terry N. Hazel, 68, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo on August 17, 1945 to Edmond and Vera (Heath) Hazel and served our country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Terry retired in 2005 as a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a 32nd degree Mason with Paragon Masonic Lodge #788 F. & A.M., a member of the Zenobia Shrine, the VFW Post 9963 in Walbridge, UTU Local 2 and was a past volunteer with the Northwood Fire Department.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Anna L. (Whitacre) Hazel; daughter, Kim Hazel (Jeri); stepdaughter, Theresa Winebernner; step grandchildren, Walter and Samuel Winebernner and Michael Tovatt, Jr. and brothers, Thomas (Beverly) Hazel and John (Naomi) Hazel. He was preceded in death by stepson, Michael Tovatt; parents and siblings, Sharon, Alvin and Elsie.
In honoring Terry’s wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
