Tammi Ann Pettaway, 39, of Oregon, Ohio passed on, October 14, 2011 at St. Charles Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 3, 1972 to George E. and Barbara (Schwartz) Sauerwein. She was a graduate of Waite High School and St. Vincent’s nursing program. Tammi worked as a registered nurse for St. Vincent’s and Toledo Hospitals for 10 years. She enjoyed coaching and refereeing C.Y.O and St. Thomas teams. Tammi was an avid reader, loved crafts particularly scrap booking. She also enjoyed traveling. Her most important time was spent with her family and she will be greatly missed.
Tammi will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael Pettaway; children, Brianna, Jalen, Jordan and Riley Pettaway; parents George (Barbara) Sauerwein; brothers, Joseph (Abbie), George M (Kristi), Jeffery and Andrew (Leslie) Sauerwein; sisters, Brenda (Mike) McClain and Kayla (Shawn) Kimble; grandmother, Lois Wagner. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William Sauerwein and grandparents, Emil and Beatrice Schwartz.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon, on Thursday, October 20th from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral chapel on Friday, October 21st at 11 a.m. burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
