Steven R. Bacon, age 66, of Curtice, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 27, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Andrew and Eileen (Sutherland) Bacon. Steve served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam combat veteran. Once home he married the love of his life, Patricia Robinson and together they shared 45 years. He worked at L.O.F. for 32 years until he retired. Steve was a member of Northwood V.F.W. Post #2984, Rossford Eagles #2322, Placer’s Car Club and the Order of the Silver Rose. Although he loved his classic cars, particularly his 54 Chevy Del Ray, the one thing he loved most was his family and they miss him dearly.
Steve is survived by his wife, Pat Bacon; children, Amy (Troy) Adams and Chad (Sunny) Bacon; grandchildren, Eric, Macy and Cali; great-granddaughter, Leah; stepfather, Ed Emch; mother-in-law, Betty Sharp and “brother” Jerry. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Andy.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday in the funeral chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Northwood V.F.W. Post # 2984.
