Steve M. Szanto, 89, of Toledo passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. He was born June 30, 1924 in Toledo to Martin and Mary (Skolla) Szanto. Steve served in the United States Navy. After naval service, he worked at Schindler Elevator. Steve was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4906 and was an active member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irene; brother, John and wife, Helen.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church where the Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 4001 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio 43616.
