Shirley Walters

Shirley Ann (Sheetz) Walters passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on June 29, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Albert and Anna (Smith) Sheetz. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles (Corky) Walters, daughters Jackie (Dan) Tank, Tammy (Bill) Tapley, seven grandchildren, Sarah (Joe)Danhouer, Jack (Shelley) Bertok, Jami (Jared) Underwood, Kirk (Brittany) Tank, Kayla Tank, Jacob (Sarah) Tapley, Kelsey (Alan ) Scheanwald, twelve great grandchildren, Brent, Justin, Hadley, Brynlee, Theo, Veda, Frannie, Carolyn, Owen, Mary, Benny, Abby, sisters Joan and Sue and brothers, Albert (suds) and Rick. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Pam Bertok, sons Richard Feckley and Kurt Walters, and granddaughter Abbie Bertok. Shirley worked for Lake Schools for over 20 years as a bus driver. She volunteered at Bay Park Hospital gift shop earning Volunteer of the Year honors numerous times. She enjoyed painting and crafts, and over the years made many wedding cakes. As per her wishes, there will be no services. 

We will celebrate her life on Saturday, March 8th at the Christ Dunberger Legion Hall from noon until 6 pm. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg and Freck Funeral Chapel for handling the final details, and Country Catering for providing the celebration meal.
