Shirley Nola Hatmaker age 67 of Toledo passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at home. Shirley was born to Lonnie and Ittress Ruth (Hunter) Phillips on April 22, 1954, in Briceville, Tennessee. Shirley was the glue that held her family together. Her circle was small, but everyone in it adored her. She enjoyed being outdoors; taking her grandchildren to Maumee Bay and spending time in the woods. She was known for her wisdom and her family often sought her advice. Shirley was an excellent cook and had the best fried green tomatoes.

Shirley is survived by her husband David Hatmaker; daughters Jennifer (Clinton) Boos and Tessa Scott; grandchildren Samuel Scott and Ariel Scott; great-grandson Lucas Scott; siblings Dorothy Goad, Karen Miles, Mary Leinert, Sharla Phillips, Barbie Williams, David Phillips, and Robert Phillips; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lonnie and Herbert, and a sister Oma Taylor.

Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Williston Cemetery.
