Sharon L. Zunk, 71, of Northwood, OH passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Harbor View, MI on March 6, 1942 to Dora Schacht. Sharon enjoyed gardening and painting. Her children remember her for her ground baloney and hotdog sauce and as the caring Nana she was, she always made sure to make her grandchildren their favorite dishes.
Sharon is survived by her children, Vicki (Craig) Meier, Laurie Blausey, Bobby (Rhonda) Zunk, Brenda (Mike) Cedoz, Kevin Zunk, Karen Zunk, Debbie Zunk and Wendy (Cloyd) Beair. She was a Nana to 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Shimman, Ronald Morton, Diane Pedersen, Gary Morton and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Arthur Morton, Joyce Houser, John Morton and Darlene Haehl. Sharon’s family would like to extend a special thank you to “Dr. Smell Good.”
Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, is handling her arrangements. Services and burial will be private, family only, as per Sharon’s wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Cancer Center.
