Sharon Young, 74, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Orchard Villa. She was born on September 2, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan to Kenneth and Hattie Walser. Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Monroe High School. She worked in food service for 31 years for the Toledo Public Schools, retiring in 2005. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Wade; daughters, Kim Rovito and Sandra (Dan) O’Leary; grandchildren, James Rovito, Jessica (Steven) Blair, Ashley Dunlap and Nick Dunlap and great-grandchildren, Brianna Blair, Robert Blair and Trey Rovito. She was preceded in death by her parents and sons-in-law, Ron Rovito and Jim Roberts.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10-1 p.m. where services will be held at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to ProMedica Hospice or the Labuhn Center at the Lutheran Home.
