Sharon Kay Callahan age 84 of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on November 13. 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo. Sharon was born on August 19, 1938, to Lauren and Lois (Mahler) Custar in Bryan, Ohio. Sharon was an awesome cook and loved every kind of craft. In her earlier years, she was a talented seamstress who made Holiday dresses for her girls and outfits for herself. She was a member of a ladies’ bunco club for over 50 years and played pinochle. Being the best grandma and great-grandma was such a joy for her and she loved attending events and spending time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her daughters LuAnn (Denis) Hoot and Peg (William) Hoot; grandsons Andrew (Jenna Czlapinski) Hoot and Nicolas King; great-grandchildren Dawson Hoot and Kalob Hoot; 3 grand dogs; sisters Vicki (Dennis) Duncan and Donna Spurgeon; and special aunt to several nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2008; father Lauren; mothers Lois and Ruth Custar; siblings Norman Custar and Randy and David Stephenson.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
