Sharon L. Bond, 62, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born in Toledo on December 29, 1951 to Ralph and Pauline (Miracola) Shively. Sharon worked for Toledo Injection Molding and later for the City of Northwood, retiring from there. She was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church, Northwood V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the Rossford Eagles. Sharon enjoyed collecting Wizard of OZ memorabilia and attending OZ festivals. Watching the Green Bay Packers or Ohio State Buckeyes were favorite pastimes, but her main teams were any that included her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 42 years, Lloyd Bond; sons, Lloyd Jr. (Tricia), Jason (Andrea); grandsons, Andrew, Nicholas, and Braden; brothers, Joe, Ralph; sister, Paula and many nieces and nephews; as well as her best friend, Sandy LaCourse. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Rosie and brother Denny. Sharon’s family would like to thank the St. Charles Cancer Center and the Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their help with her care.
As per Sharon’s wishes, a Celebration of Life Service and dinner will be held at Rossford Eagles Hall on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 12-6 p.m. Burial will remain private. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
