Shane Edward Oneail

Shane Edward Oneail, 60, of Toledo, OH passed away at St. Vincent Medical Center on August 12, 2024. He was born on May 12, 1964, in Oregon, OH to Harold J. and Sharon N. (Tauberg) Oneail. Shane was a 1983 graduate of Waite High School and would go on to raise two sons.

Shane was a roofer for Nordmann Roofing for 38 years before retiring. He was a member of Roofers Local 134. He enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting merchandise. Shane was a fan of cookouts and frying fish with his brother. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and fishing. Shane was a dog lover, having a soft spot for senior dogs, and was a member of the Lucas County Pit Crew. What brought Shane the most joy was his family, spending time with them was important to him and he never missed family events. He was a family man who valued spending time with his sons and grandchildren.

Left to cherish Shane’s memory are his sons, Connor (Lauren) Oneail and Christopher (Jess) Hilt Jr; brothers, twin brother Shawn, Daniel, James “Jimmy”, and Terrence “Terry”(Susan) Oneail; sisters, Lauren “Laurie (Jack) Kurth and Patricia “Patty” (James) Rogers; grandchildren, Cabella, Waylon, Christopher, Gabriella, Jackson, Liam, Raiden, and one girl on the way. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Shane in death are his parents and niece, Stephanie.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, August  17 , 2024, from 10:00 a.m -2:00 p.m. where a funeral service will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to invite those that attend to continue in a Celebration of Shane’s life taking place at the Roofers Local 134 located at 4652 Lewis Avenue in Toledo, Ohio beginning at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in Shane’s memory to the Lucas County Pit Crew.
