Sarah J. (Spencer) Shone, 76, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH formerly of Toledo, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Center. She was born on May 14, 1940 in Meigs County, OH to Arthur and Margaret Spencer. Sarah was a graduate of Eastern High School and attended Ohio University and the University of Toledo. Sarah worked as an elementary teacher for Toledo Public Schools and as a mentor at the University of Toledo for students going into education.
She is survived by her children: James (Cheryl) Lamb, Jr., Jon Lamb, Erica (Ray) Albertini and Lisa (Frank) O’Hanlan; grandchildren, Brittany Beczynski, Christopher (Leslie) Petroff, Randi (Kelly) Wahl, James (Alexi) Lamb III, Beau Lamb, Madison Escareno, Raymond, Christian and Michael Albertini and Michael O’Hanlan; great-grandchildren, Audriya, Austin and Jax Petroff, Ryleigh Bodnar and Hayden Wahl; sisters, Connie Ballard, Brenda Johnson and Annie Brown. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Audrey Spencer.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. where services will be held at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
