Samuel D. Biddlestone

September 6, 1991 — November 22, 2021

Samuel Darrell Biddlestone passed away November 22, 2021. Sam was born September 6, 1991 to loving mother, Glenda Biddlestone and father Frederick Biddlestone at Mercy Hospital in Toledo Ohio.
There’s so much more to say about Sam then could be contained in a few mere paragraphs. Samuel Biddlestone was one of the most loving, compassionate, and beautiful humans to ever grace the earth. His candor and authenticity were beyond all measure. The soul of a poet, he had an astonishing command of the English language. Sam was a voracious reader of literature, and a prolific writer of poetry. He was a self-taught musician, composer, and all-around lover of music and song.
Altruistic to an incredible extent, Sam was a committed humanitarian. Sam had an uncanny ability to make a deep spiritual connection with anyone who had the privilege to make his acquaintance. Sam‘s deep understanding of the human condition was second to none. An active member of several spiritual fellowships,  Sam was beloved in the recovery community. He was a founding member of the Gap Toledo where his energy and brilliance illuminated the pathway of those who traveled the perilous road of addiction. Simply stated, he was an inspiration.
Sam was a devoted and doting father to his son, Benjamin John Biddlestone who he welcomed into this world March 4, 2021. Sam‘s greatest joy on earth was to crawl in Benji‘s playpen and fall asleep with Benji laying on his chest. One of the family favorite collective memories is of Sam and Benji at Maumee Bay water pad where Benji met his extended family for the first time and everyone present was in tears of laughter. Sam‘s legacy will undoubtedly be passed on to Benji through the people who knew him best.
Sam is survived by an adoring son and Benji‘s mother, Geneva Loftus, his loving mother, Glenda Biddlestone, and sister,  Sarah Williams, as well as a litany of friends and family who deeply love him. Special thanks to judge Ian English, Bill Wolf, and the entire drug court team for all the support.
A memorial service in Sam’s honor will be held at Life Chapel, 30470 Lemoyne  Rd., Walbridge, OH on December 9, 2021 at 6pm followed by a candlelight vigil. Donations to Sam's family can be made at the time of the vigil or via the link below that will be posted soon.
