Russell Clyde Knapp

Russell Clyde Knapp, 75, of Luckey, OH, passed away on December 28, 2020. Russell was born on December 30, 1944 to Ernest and Margaret (Heath) Knapp. He graduated from Keystone High School in 1963 before serving two years in the US Army. After his service in Vietnam, he worked as a truck driver for over 40 years before retiring in 2008. Russell married his wife, Carol (Bradley) Knapp in 1974. They have two sons Brian Knapp of Perrysburg, OH and Wayne (Robin) Knapp of Whitehouse, OH. Russell and Carol have two granddaughters Elyse and Cora. Russell loved gardening, Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams and most of all, spending time with his family.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Margaret of Penfield, OH; brothers Ed Knapp and Jim Knapp both of Penfield OH and brother-in-law, Gayle Klinect of Lawrenceville, GA. He is survived by his wife Carol Knapp of Luckey, OH; sons Brian Knapp of Perrysburg OH and Wayne (Robin) Knapp of Whitehouse, OH; granddaughters Elyse and Cora, both of Whitehouse, OH; brothers, Ernie (Nancy) Knapp of Wellington, OH, Carl (Carolyn) Knapp of Wellington, OH, John Knapp (Jim Zarlinga) of Fort Lauderdale, FL and sisters Charlotte Klinect of Lawrenceville, GA and Lynne (Joe) Neuhoff of Sheffield Township, OH; and sister in law Joanne Knapp of Elyria, OH. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
