Ronald “Ron” Ramsey

Ronald Eugene Ramsey, 82, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born on December 26, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to James and Mina Ramsey, one of thirteen siblings.  Ron was a graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and served in the Ohio Army National Guard.  He worked for Doehler-Jarvis over 35 years before retiring.  Ron was married to his wife, Evelyn for 59 years, before she passed earlier this year.  Ron enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time.  He will be dearly missed.

Ronald is survived by his children, Cindy Lewallen, Karen (Glenn) Yarger, and Jeff (Ann) Ramsey; grandchildren, Melissa (Tom) Lewallen, Amanda (Tony) LaPoint, Andrea Lewallen, Ross (Caroline) Yarger, and Jacob (Kalyn) Yarger; great-grandchildren; Raegan, Kaity, Paxton, Landry, and Frankie; and siblings, Harry Ramsey, Kenneth (Maryann) Ramsey, Diane (Arch) Padgett, Vicky (Junior) Moore, Jess (Holly) Ramsey, Leora Leal,  Alice (Richard) Arnold, Forest Ramsey, and Becky (Joe) Everhardt.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; siblings, Debbie Sinclair, John Ramsey, and Roger Ramsey.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon.
