Ronald E Moore

Ronald E. Moore, 84, of Millbury, passed away July 17, 2018. He was born November 6, 1933 to Gail and Helen (Zerbe) Moore. He graduated from Ada High School. Ronald proudly served our country in the Navy and fought in the Korean War on a Destroyer. Ronald spent 18 years at A.A. Boos and Sons as an operating engineer before retiring at 60 years old in 1994. He was a proud member of the VFW Post 9489 in Atlanta, Michigan.

After retiring, Ron bought his own Bobcat and was known around the neighborhood for doing jobs and how he loved the snow and delighted in plowing out driveways. Ron loved to be in his vegetable garden growing many things and he loved to hunt, especially going to Pennsylvania to deer hunt for over 50 years. Ron will be missed by all.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Moore; sons, William (Jane), and Thomas (Sherry); grandsons, Dustin and Travis (Kristina); sister, Patsy (Dick) Irwin; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held for Ron at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Road Oregon, Ohio 43616 (419-693-9304) on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. For those wishing to contribute in Ron's name, the family asks you to consider the Cancer Society and The American Heart Association.
