Romeo Jay Medina, Sr.

Romeo Jay Medina, Sr., age 25, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 reuniting with his son, Romeo Jay Medina, Jr. in heaven.  He was born on September 2, 1998 in Oregon, Ohio to Angela Cruz and Jose Medina.  Romeo was a happy, fun-loving big teddy bear type of guy.  He was always the center of attention, being the loudest in the room, and with his contagious laughter.  Romeo loved to spend time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed cooking for them and going out to eat.  In his spare time, Romeo loved to go fishing and was a huge Buffalo Bills fan.  He will be dearly missed.

Romeo is survived by his mother, Angela (Darryl) Cruz; father, Jose (Andrea) Medina; fiancée, Kayla Bergquist; daughter, Emmalynn Bergquist; grandparents, Lisa and Ron and Joe and Juanita Medina; siblings, Mariyah Cruz, D’Angelo Lyons, Da’Lisiana Lyons, and J.J. Medina; step-siblings, Cameron, Kaden, Gracie, Paul, Sierra, and Alyssia; his dog, Scuba; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were like brothers.  He was preceded in death by his aunt, Danielle.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, February 5, 2024, from 2-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family through gofund.me/afd048fa.
