ROLAND  WILSON

Roland Wilson, 66, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Mercy-St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Toledo. He was born January 31, 1947 to Forester and Bertha (Partin) Wilson in Pearl, KY and was a 1965 graduate of Woodward High School. He served our country in the U.S. Army in Korea and was a loving husband to E. Virginia Wilson whom he married on July 25, 1968. For over 30 years, Roland worked with Chrysler at Jeep as a factory worker and was a member of the UAW Local 12. He enjoyed fishing and watching the KY Wildcats.

He is survived by his wife, E. Virginia Wilson; sisters, Mary Davis, Hazel Kukulka, Jewell (Bill) Long, Pauline (Bill) Campbell and Jean Mills; brother, Albert Wilson, Leland Wilson and Dennie (Juanita) Wilson and sisters-in-law, Elsie and Eliza Wilson along with many nieces and nephews and their families. Roland was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fayette Wilson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel (Walter) Lambdin, Edna (Ancil) Sparks and Lillie (Wayland) Lowe, Jay Davis and Steve Kukulka.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon on Sunday, December 22, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue after the holidays on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 10-1 p.m. in the Creech Funeral Home, 112 S. 21st Street in Middleboro, KY where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery in Frakes, KY.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Association.
