Rodney Michael Varnes

Rodney Michael Varnes, 54, of Monroe, Michigan passed away August 14, 2020. He was born July 2, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio to Kenneth and Carole (Kowalski) Varnes. Rod met his wife Sherry, the love of his life, February 17, 1996 and married February 4, 1998.  Rod's favorite hobbies include traveling, detailing cars, driving, airboats, and riding ATV’s; but his greatest hobby of all was spending time with family. He was an avid Dog The Bounty Hunter and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Rod was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Rodney was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone and will truly be missed. Rodney is survived by his wife, Sherry; his sons Shawn, Cody, Justin and Jorden; as well as his grandchildren Gabriel, Grayson, Noah and Benson; his siblings Kenneth (Carla), Sherry (Larry), Clint (Robin); mother-in-law Patricia, and sister-in-law Lisa (Joseph). Rodney was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in his honor. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
