Robert L. Staton Sr., 51, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born October 5, 1963 in Oregon to Crawford and Marilyn (Sass) Staton. Robert began his working life at Dominos Pizza as a manager, and then took up work with his brothers as a Lineman for Mid America Utility Co. He continued his career path at Herricks Small Tool Repair and later for the Toledo Blade as a Carrier and Warehouse Manager. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on engines, was known to have a green thumb and loved animals, particularly his dogs.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Crawford Staton; mother of his sons, Judi Crawford; brothers, George and Big Jim. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Kristin) Jr., Michael and William Staton; mother, Marilyn Marks; siblings, Maryellen, Karen, Christine, Ed, Gary, Terri and Sharon.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 12-4 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to A.L.S., Hospice of Northwest Ohio or his son, William Staton.
