Robert Lamb
1936- 2024
As you read this, I have lost my best friend and the love of my life. We were married for 70 years and have two sons, James Robert Lamb and William Cecil Lamb.
We were members of First St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for 50 years, where Bob served on the Church Council for 7 years and was a volunteer at many church functions, in addition to his volunteer work for the City of Oregon. He worked at Owens-Illinois, retiring as Property Manager at Levis Park.
He served as a volunteer fireman for the City of Oregon for 44 years, retiring as Chief of Station 2 and Deputy Chief of Oregon. He was a charter captain on Lake Erie and enjoyed many trips which also included children, grandchildren, and friends. He coached peewee football when the boys were young. He was also a hunter and taught his boys the value of the sport.
He leaves behind his wife Joan, his two sons, grandchildren Trisha Lamb, Matt Lamb, and Samantha Lamb; his brother Bill (Kathy) and sister Rita Susor, sister-in-law Kay (Raymond) Romstadt, and his beloved dog Jack. He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Lamb, father Cecil Lamb, and in-laws Madelyn and Edwin Willis.
He was a kind and gentle man, honoring our Lord and Savior, and always had time to help his family.
My loss is sorrowful, and until I am with him again, there will be a great loneliness
