Robert E. Harsanje, age 62, passed away peacefully in Oregon, OH on May 9, 2016. He was born in Columbus, OH on July 19, 1953 to Emery and Lois (Paben) Harsanje. Bob worked for Champion Spark Plug for 15 years then for Key Bank for another 5 years. He continued his working life as a self-employed advertising agent and was a lifelong musician. Bob was a writer, avid hunter and masterful cook. His contributions to the world made it a better place.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kathy Harsanje; children, Amanda Harsanje, Jon (Katie) Harsanje and Joe (Autumn Ferguson) Harsanje; granddaughter, Nola Harsanje; parents; sisters, Kathy (Gene) Zaeff and Janet Gest; sister-in-law, Patti Ketcham and niece and nephews, Nick (Morgan) Zaeff, Alek Zaeff and Lindsay Roginski. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Paben.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 10-12 p.m. with the Funeral Service to begin at 12 p.m. that day in the Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Physically Challenged Bow Hunters of America.
