Richard J. "W.C." Lee

August 5, 1947 — April 14, 2017

Richard J. Lee, 69, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 5, 1947 to John and Helen (Sutter) Lee and was a 1966 graduate of Woodward High School. Richard proudly served our country in the U.S. army during Vietnam. He married the love of his life Brenda (Keifer) Lee on June 20, 1970 and share 46 years. Richard worked for Penn-Central R.R. then for Chrysler and retired from Precision Cut-off in 2012.

He belonged to Toledo Truckers and Move-N-Truckers Van Clubs for 45 years. Richard liked to go to truck-ins and van shows, 2% forever. He also collected Hot Wheel vans and has over 2000. W.C. Fields memorabilia was also a passion and that’s why his fellow vanners called him W.C.

He is survived by his wife; son, Richard W. Lee; granddaughter, Felica Taylor; mother; brothers, Robert (Cindy) and Ronald Lee; sister-in-law, Gloria Brown; adopted granddaughters, Candice and Summer Wright; many nieces and nephews and fur baby, CoCo. Richard was preceded in death by his father and  parents-in-law, Richard and Mae (Hoyman) Keifer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Freck Funeral Chapel. Services will remain private. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
