RICHARD J. HORVATH
Richard J. Horvath, 80, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at Swan Pointe Care Center in Maumee. He was born in Toledo on September 9, 1933 to Julius, Sr. and Margaret (Irman) Horvath and served our country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Richard had an admirable work ethic and worked as a truck driver for GK Hauling and sailed the Great Lakes on the John J. Boland. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and traveling to Amish country.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Charline M. (Marlow) Horvath; son, Richard Horvath, Jr., Ronald Horvath and Victoria Morelle; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter and brother, Julius Horvath, Jr.
Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon where a Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Ignatius Building Fund.
