Rhea Ann Horvath

Rhea A. Horvath, age 84, a longtime resident of East Toledo and currently of Bradner, Ohio passed away on her 66th wedding anniversary, Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Manor of Perrysburg.  She was born on October 13, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to Arthur and Alice (Lecklider) Pauken.  Rhea was a 1956 graduate of Whitney High School and shortly after married her husband, Anthony Horvath.  After raising their family, she went to work for Kmart, eventually retiring as manager of the camera and jewelry department.  Rhea loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida.  In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking nut rolls and Hungarian pastries.  But most of all she, loved spending time with her grandkids.  She will be dearly missed.

Rhea is survived by her husband, Anthony Horvath; children, Greg (Tammy) Horvath, Kim Knaggs, Michelle Horvath of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Craig (Christine) Horvath; grandchildren, Andy Horvath, Sister Glorea Knaggs, Daniel Knaggs, Matthew (Amber) Knaggs, Melissa (Evan) Girard, Stephanie (Gregory) Stimler, Tony (Kim) Horvath, and Dominick (Leah Giavatto) Horvath; great-grandchildren, Clement and Honorine Girard, Lucy, Tucker, and Lola Knaggs, and Nolan and Paetyn Horvath. She is also survived by her siblings, Rosalie (Tom) Weaver, Judy Snyder, Anita (Bill) Beach, Ginny (Gary) Barr, Miriam (Rick) Eley, George (Shelly) Pauken, and Peggy (Tim) Bolduc.  Rhea was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Alice Pauken; sister, Elizabeth James; and son-in-law, Chuck Knaggs.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 2-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.  A special thanks to the staff and nurses at the Manor of Perrysburg for all their wonderful care.
