Reynold R. Romstadt

September 5, 1928 — July 8, 2013

Reynold R. Romstadt, 84, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.  He was born on September 5, 1928 in Toledo to Karl and Iva Romstadt.  Reynold served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War.  Ren worked for Libbey Owens Ford for 21 years and  owned and operated Ren’s Place in Rossford.  He was known as an entrepreneur, he always had his hand in something.  He was a very giving person, always willing to help out someone in need. He will be dearly missed.

Reynold is survived by his special friend and companion, Rose Blackburn; children:  Sharon Heldt, Carl (Cathy) Romstadt, Renee (Albert) Santus, Daniel (Cathy) Romstadt, Teri (John) Lineback, Sandy (Zeke) Vidra, Thomas (Linda) Romstadt and Matt (Cathy) Romstadt along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Audrey and son, Robert “Bob” Romstadt.


Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2-8 p.m.  A memorial mass will be held on Monday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 10 a.m.  Inurnment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made the wishes of the Romstadt Family.
